HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can help
you to accomplish your goals and live your dreams.
|
|
Hypnosis is defined as:
The bypass of the critical factor of the conscious mind and
the establishment of acceptable selective thinking.
Hypnosis is not “mind control.” That is just
an illusion. You are not asleep, just deeply relaxed but completely
aware. You won’t do, or say anything you don’t
want to. What you will do, is discover you were born with
a set of incredibly powerful tools for positive change you
simply haven’t yet uncovered or developed. |
Hypnosis, often misunderstood and almost always controversial,
is increasingly being employed in mainstream medicine. Numerous
scientific studies have emerged in recent years showing that hypnotized
mind can exert a real and powerful effect on the body.
According to the The Wall Street Journal, this is what Dr. Carol
Ginandes, a Harvard psychologist at McLean Hospital in Boston says
about it. “Through hypnosis, the mind can have a potent effect
not only on mental well-being but also on the acceleration of bodily
healing itself.”
It’s not clear how hypnosis works. However, it appears to
affect how your brain communicates with your body through nerve
impulses, hormones and body chemicals such as neuropeptides. Hypnosis
creates a state of deep relaxation and quiets the mind.
Your conscious mind stays awake and still makes decisions. You
have full control and you can concentrate intensely on a specific
thought, memory, feeling or sensation while blocking out distractions.
This makes the subconscious more receptive to any suggestion that
the conscious mind wants to let in. Hypnosis is an insight technique
which forces the subconscious mind into a state of reorganization,
changing your perspective regarding the circumstances and perhaps
yourself, as well as the others involved.

Who can be hypnotized?
Though researchers can’t fully explain what hypnosis is or
why it works, they do know that 75 to 91% of people can be hypnotized.
Some practitioners call it daydreaming with purpose.
It’s similar to the absorption you experience when reading
a good novel,, watching an engrossing movie, or listening so intently
to the car radio that you arrive home without a clue as to how you
got there.
Anyone of at least normal intelligence and the willingness to follow
instructions can experience hypnosis and use it to improve his or
her life.
