Fran_PalumboFran M. Palumbo changed the course of her life when she taught herself to meditate. At that time, she realized it was her own thoughts that were responsible for what was happening in her life. Through a commitment to meditation, she learned: “Nothing manifests without prior thought,” “What I do for myself today is my future,” and “The path to inner peace is through meditation.”

As a result of meditating, she became fascinated by the mind, which served to stimulate her interest in hypnosis. Her thirst for knowledge about the inner workings of the mind led to study that continues to this day.

Work Ethic: I would just like to take a little time to tell you how I work. I treat everyone I work with as if it is an Olympic event, we go for the gold. My goal with each session is to have my client leave with a sense of accomplishment and feeling a lot better than when they arrived. I will never stop a session at a certain time, because this is not my style. The client is more important to me than running overtime. So sometimes I may run late because of the issue being dealt with, and the client needs a little extra help before returning to the waiting area. By doing this, I have witness many a healing from my clients as a result of staying overtime. What clients learn; “They cannot undo life, life will continue, what they do learn is how to undo their emotions.”

Understand, hypnosis is a very powerful process that has helped thousands of people to make the kind of changes that they want to make in their lives. However, hypnosis is not “mind control.” For example, no one, not even the best hypnotist, could MAKE you lose weight, stop smoking or change behaviors if you really don’t want to. Nor could he or she accurately predict how many sessions it will take. Most people (but not everyone) begin to experience the benefits from the very first session and most people are done in 3 to 4 sessions.

I limit the number of hypnosis sessions for any particular issue to 6-8 sessions in most cases. If it takes more than 8 sessions, hypnosis may not be right for you. Ultimately, you are responsible for the changes that occur as a result of the hypnosis sessions. Rest assured, however, that I will not attempt hypnosis if I do not believe he/she is ready and willing.

It is because of these aforementioned reasons that I cannot guarantee success, but actually, this is true in any situation where a professional is trying to help you. There is always a human factor. Doctors don’t guarantee that you will get well. Teachers can’t guarantee that you will learn, and lawyers can’t guarantee that you will “win” your case.

What I can guarantee, is the very best service, using current information and appropriate hypnotic techniques for your situation. Please be assured all clients records and transactions are confidential, and may only be viewed by Fran M. Palumbo, LLC, unless release of these records is authorized in writing by the client, or otherwise provided by law.

Before I close, I would like to add another passion of mine, which is meditation. Meditation began for me in 1985 it wasn’t until 1991 when I began teaching classes for Meditation and Stress Management. I truly do not believe I am an authority on meditation, I’m just passing on to others what works in my life. It seems I have a passionate thirst to want to know the mechanics of this Universe and how we operate in it. Because of this thirst I’ve never missed a day of meditation.

Having said all that, I think you will be pleased with the results of the sessions! And I look forward to seeing you.

How meditation began for Fran:

I’ll never forget the day, it was October 26, 1985, I was weeping over my sadness and physically pain from a benign lump in my lower back. When my whole life appeared in front of me like a daydream. It was as if I was viewing the best picture of the year and I was the only one not enjoying it.

As I remained still I became aware of my pain, hurt, anger and confusion throughout my life. What became obviously clear to me is that, nothing manifests without prior thought. I was creating my own suffering with my thoughts. Although, no one who knew me would ever know the pain that I carry, because I do a great job covering it up with laughter. At that moment I knew I’ve been running from my past. I asked myself, “What should I do?” When my inner voice whispered to me, “The gig is up!” I agreed, “But, what do I do?” It was then I heard within the deepest part of me, “Pray for wisdom.” I immediately walked over and sat in the chair in our bedroom bowed my head down with my hands covering my face as I repeated, “I want wisdom,” for at least thirty seconds. Even though my words were sincere, my thoughts were like a flea on a dog jumping from one thought to another.

The next day I had to remind myself to sit still and ask for wisdom. There were even days I completely forgot. So I decided to place a tiny piece of paper over the doorknob in our bedroom to remind me to sit and ask for wisdom, and from that day forth I never missed a day. Within two weeks, the benign lump in my lower back that caused me great pain, disappeared and never returned. It was a lump as big as an orange which prevented me from completely from standing up straight. On many occasions my husband would rub my lower back to give me some comfort. I thought to myself, “Sitting still might have something to do with the disappearance of this lump?” Little by little I was beginning to feel better about myself. So began an everyday journey within myself of wanting to know the mechanics of the Universe and how it affects us.

Throughout my years my meditating I have changed. However, I must point out that it was not my doing. I feel there is a power greater than myself guiding me. After six years of meditating and receiving many enlightenments. I heard my inner voice telling me once again, “If you truly want to keep what you have, you need to pass it on.” I certainly didn’t want the thought of losing something that has become so dear to me. I asked, “What should I do?” A quick response, “Teach meditation to others,” is what I heard. I started with the local High School in their Continuing Education Program. This lead to Friday night meditation in our home. Very soon, my clients grew to include numerous Fairfield County employers and Consultants from the area’s leading Oncology practices. The passion that I brought about teaching meditation and stress management found its way into corporate America, the health care field, and education centers. I also maintain a private practice for individual hypnotherapy.

My appearances include; health news segments for Channels 8 and 12, in Connecticut. Clips from my video, ‘The Healing Light’ were featured such as patients in Cancer Treatment Center benefited from my, “Reducing Stress Through Meditation” CD that have been sold worldwide. I’ve received many uplifting stories either in person or by letters. I recall an elderly man with Alzheimer’s living in a nursing home was given my CD he would ask daily, “I want to hear that ladies voice again,” as he sat quietly listening. Another occurrence was while I was giving a talk, a woman approached me holding my CD to her chest telling me, “You don’t know me and a friend gave me your CD, I cannot begin to tell you how it changed my life.” My Mother told me her cousin was actually buried with it. My passion for teaching meditation and stress management has never lagged. I feel that if I can inspire one person to meditate, I am a success.
